I’d like to talk about a time when I sent an email to one of my university teachers but didn’t receive a reply for quite a long time.

This happened last year when I was preparing an important assignment. I sent the email to my academic writing teacher because I wanted to ask for advice about my essay topic and whether my outline was suitable. Since the deadline was approaching, I hoped to receive feedback quickly so that I could continue writing with more confidence.

However, after sending the email, I didn’t get any reply for almost a week. At first, I thought the teacher was probably just busy, so I waited patiently. But after several days passed, I started to feel a bit anxious because I was worried that my topic might not meet the requirements. I even checked my inbox repeatedly to make sure I hadn’t missed the reply.

In the end, I finally received a response. The teacher apologized and explained that he had been attending an academic conference and had not checked his email regularly. Fortunately, he still gave me useful suggestions and helped me improve my essay before the deadline.

Although the experience made me nervous at the time, it also taught me an important lesson about communication and time management. Since then, I’ve tried to contact teachers earlier instead of waiting until the last minute. Overall, I felt relieved when I finally got the reply.
