Better Camera for the Newspaper

We need to keep up with the latest technology to ensure the excellence of our campus newspaper. The newspaper doesn't currently have a professional-quality camera, so 1 would like to propose that we purchase a more sophisticated. high-tech camera for our photographers to use. The photos we currently print in the newspaper don't look nice because they are grainy and low-quality, and buying a high-quality camera would allow us to fix the problem. We have some additional funds left in our newspaper budget, and using the money to purchase a new camera like this would be the best way to improve the quality of our reporting.

Hurdle Help

When students are learning new skills or trying to complete new tasks. teachers generally encourage them to try to complete the tasks independently. However, a particular obstacle or portion of the task may be impossible for them to overcome without assistance, and thus students may become frustrated and stop trying. In such situations, teachers may use the technique of hurdle help, in which the teacher performs a particularly challenging part of a task for students, and then allows the students to complete the rest of the task independently. This ensures that students are able to complete the task and helps control students' classroom behavior.

Explain how the example from the lecture illustrates the concept of hurdle help.

Some people prefer to go shopping in a big supermarket, because it is convenient. Some people prefer to go shopping in small stores owned by local merchants near the community.

1.从convenience角度

1）相比在市中心或者郊区的大supermarket，社区附近的小店通常步行就可到达，人出门买东西不用担心着装，不用拎着大包小包坐好久公交

2.从community的角度

1）社区有自己的店铺更有利于地区的经济发展，大超市通常都是品牌连锁，最受益的还是在其他城市的主品牌，但是地方店铺的产品都是当地的，买当地产品就是对本地经济的一种支持

3.让步

对方观点：大超市更好

对方前提条件：可以一次性买齐所需

反驳：

1）社区的店铺不代表产品就不齐全

2）总体来说，小超市的优点更多
